Dr. Smith earned a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Animal Science from Tarleton State University. He earned his DVM at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. His passion is to keep your pet healthy and happy. He spends leisure time with his wife Jennifer, his daughter McKenna and son Braden, and his Golden Retriever Missoula. Dr. Smith is the brother of Dr. Linda Shedd.

Dr. Shedd obtained her B.S. at the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned her DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Her favorite part of working here is the family-oriented environment. Dr. Shedd is the mother of triplets-Davis, Ethan and Ella-and their one-year-younger brother Daniel. Dr. Shedd is the sister of Dr. Lane Smith, and she is married to Dr. Bryan Shedd.

Dr. Shedd was born and reared in Alabama. He obtained a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Animal Science from Auburn University. He earned his DVM at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine at the top of his 2003 graduating class. He is pursuing board certification in internal medicine and is also interested in cardiology and echocardiography. Dr. Shedd is the husband of Dr. Linda Shedd.

Tamara was born and reared in San Antonio before her family relocated to the former Soviet Union in 1993 as missionaries.  She obtained a seminary education overseas and taught English as a foreign language.  She is married to a Russian medical doctor and has a son named Daniel. Tamara and her family are avid cat lovers and have three of their own: Sylvester, Checkers, and Q-Tip.  Tamara is known around here as the cat whisperer, and opens her home to behaviorally challenged kitties for rehabilitation.

Jessica has been working with animals since 1998 and has a zoo of her own.  She has 3 cats, 3 dogs, and a bearded dragon name Spike.  Her son Seth helps care for all of them.  Jessica is from Spain and is fluent in Castilian.  Some of her hobbies include spending time with Seth, family, & friends and hand-raising birds, puppies, and kittens.  She loves working in the veterinary field because she gets the best of both worlds: working with animals and people, too!  She is very outgoing, loves art, and loves music.

Angie has worked in the veterinary field for 3 years and loves her job!  Her passion is customer service and strives to meet the needs of every client and pet.  When she is away from the hospital, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, baby boy, stepson, and Labrador Retriever Brady.

Elisha considers Tennessee her true home, but she has lived in San Antonio for over three years and considers the Alamo City her second home! She has a truly warm and tender heart that animals respond to. Her spare time is often spent at the hospital, nurturing critical patients. At other times she’s with her dog Odie and her two cats, Madison and Lit’ Roy. Elisha has been a technician for over 8 years and in her words, “I cannot imagine doing anything else."

Robin has been in the veterinary field for over 8 years.  Besides her enthusiasm for her own pet Chaos, she is known for her outstanding customer care and individual attention to the pets brought in for medical care and boarding.  She spends her spare time assisting in the adoptions of stray pets.  She also enjoys spending time with family, friends, and their four-legged family members.

Corey was previously one of our kennel technicians and has recently moved into the treatment room. He was born in San Antonio and raised in Karnes County.  He is an active member of the Coastal Conservation Association and Karnes County Wildlife Conservation.  He is working on his B.S. in Biology at UTSA with plans to enter graduate school. He finds satisfaction in reaching short-term goals in pursuit of his vision.  Corey spends his free time spoiling his dogs, Rusty and Lilo, playing soccer, and playing his guitar.

Jesus has formal training in electronics and has worked in the veterinary field for 3 years. He chooses to work with us because "I love and care for every pet that sets a paw in our clinic".  He is the proud father of a beautiful little girl.  Although he doesn't have any pets of his own, he makes sure every pet here is treated like his own. A fun fact about Jesus is that he likes to work on his '79 Chevy truck.
